STEEL WELDED SILO

Large welded steel silos are made of welded steel and equipped with horizontal and vertical stiffeners. They are a type of steel structure storage facility, with a single silo capacity of up to 100,000 cubic meters. Meanwhile, they can be combined to form storage groups with larger capacities.

Welded steel silos are mainly used to store powdery and granular materials, liquids and other substances, such as cement, fly ash, ground granulated blast furnace slag, clinker, limestone, etc.

The technology of large welded steel silos originated in China and has gone through more than 30 years of development, being widely applied in the bulk material storage industry. Each steel silo consists of four parts: the foundation, the silo body, the discharge system, and the control system. The widespread application of large welded steel plate silos has solved problems such as the storage of cement produced in the off-season, the treatment and storage of fly ash solid waste from thermal power plants, and large-scale storage at transfer terminals. It avoids losses caused by production suspension in the off-season, enables enterprises to obtain due benefits through strong sales in the peak season, and gives full play to the investment benefits of enterprises.

The advantages of steel welded silos:

01- Large storage capacity: The storage capacity of a single silo can reach 100,000 cubic meters. It meets the storage needs of mass storage, transshipment and continuous production in the off-season. 02- Low investment: The investment per ton of storage is less than 50% of that of a concrete silo. 03- Short construction period: It can be completed and put into use within 3-4 months. 04- Efficient aeration unloading discharge technology: The aeration unloading discharge capacity is 100-500 tons per hour, and the discharge rate reaches over 95%. 05- Excellent overall performance: It is environmentally friendly, energy-saving, land-saving, and has a designed service life of up to 30 years.
